Event Description Charanga is an award-winning digital resource designed for primary schools.
The SEND focused CPD & Training event is aimed at those working in the special needs settings whether in special school, units or mainstream schools.
As part of SoundStorm's commitment to supporting our teaching colleagues in delivering high quality music education, we are offering all KS1 and KS2 Music Hub member schools a fully-subsidised Charanga license for 18/19.
This CPD presents the launch of this initiative and a chance for you to learn, explore and familiarise yourself with this fantastic resource.
Charanga - winner of the Music Teacher Awards for Excellence: Best Digital/Technological Resource - includes a complete scheme of work to teach the national curriculum for music, a vast library of songs, topics, instrument courses and creative apps.
Anyone Can Play is a Scheme of Work conceived to empower the non-specialist music teacher to teach and support children with severe learning needs through their music making journey. The Scheme is enhanced by the SEND Freestyle section which contains the most popular resources used in this field.
The third strand is CREATE, containing compositional projects using iPad technology to inspire, motivate and capture young people's creativity.
In this session we will explore the three SEND strands and how they can be linked with the Charanga Musical School programme.
We also anticipate this will be a great opportunity for you to network with your peers and learn how they are incorporating Charanga into their day-to-day teaching. The training will be led by a Charanga representative so will also be your opportunity to ask questions regarding Charanga functionality to a regional expert!
Event Outcomes You will have a broad understanding of how to utilise Charanga in your daily lessons.

You will be introduced to the basic functionality of Charanga for SEND.
